The girls danced in Hayward at the Sun Gallery as they performed for the Dia de las Muertos last month. The young women were from a group called Ballet Folklorico in the south part of the SF Bay Area.and they practice at the gallery. The performances were lively and colorful and joyful. This is a Mexican cultural way to celebrate the life of someone who has died.
The painting is made with collage, and acrylic paint. The collage is done on a beveled maple board and looks beautiful with the presentation on the board.
